about me
Luke Manock is a Sound Designer who works with several mediums, including film and video games, and several types of sound, including sound designing and editing. Other areas of sound he enjoys working in are video game sound implementation, music editing, music creation, foley recording and editing, and ADR recording and editing.
Luke received his Masters Degree in Sound Design from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia in May of 2025. During his time there he developed a strong foundation in industry standard work including tools and technique, and refining his skills to craft immersive audio experiences.
Luke earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Digital Arts from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM, in May 2024. During his time there, he discovered his passion for sound, with a particular focus on sound design. He also spent a semester abroad at Maynooth University in Maynooth, Ireland, further expanding his academic and creative perspective.

Luke has contributed to multiple award-winning short films in various roles. He began his career in production sound, often working as a sound mixer. However, since his final year at UNM, throughout his time at SCAD, and after, he has shifted his focus toward post-production sound and sound design.

Luke is proficient in a variety of industry-standard programs. While his experience has primarily been in films, he has expanded into the world of video game sound design and has several upcoming projects in the works.
summary
Luke holds a strong passion for sound design and film and is eager to continue his work in the field of Sound Design. Whether it be in the film industry, video game industry, or the music industry, Luke plans to keep bringing his unique talents to the sound world.
Luke is an active member of the 501st Legion, a Star Wars organization that promotes interest in the movie franchise and facilitates the use of movie-quality costuming for Star Wars-related events as well as contributes to the local community through costumed charity and volunteer work.
Luke is a student member of the Cinematic Audio Society, Audio Engineering Society, and the Motion Pictures Sound Editors.
Luke was a member of the UNM Esports team since a Freshman at UNM. Not only did he serve as a team member competing on behalf of the University, he also served as the team’s Treasurer handling all finances and budget matters. Luke also assisted with the production of live-streaming of competitions including cameras, lighting and sound technologies. Luke led several teams during his time at Esports, whether it was competing, handling money, or running the live production, Luke made sure his teams handled things smoothly and efficiently.
